Seems kind of screwy to me (but not as lame as having the cables go outside the fuselage - I'm glad for the Alan Elkins internal rudder controls). I believe you can provide tension in more than one way. I think you could attach bungee cords or springs between the pedals and the firewall (anyone have any objections to this?) Another choice - and the one I'm using - is to purchase a set of gears that mesh the two actuating rods together such that when one goes one direction the other has to go the other way. Dick Simkanin makes these little gadgets and they seem to work pretty well. I don't have his email address handy, but look in back LML archives and I'll bet you'll find it.
