I copied the flyer since the Aeropoxy people apparently don't want to spend
phone time on taking orders for this offer. I understand it sets a
precedent so maybe you will want to skip it for that reason but I wanted the
guys to get in on the "deal".
Aeropoxy has a Special on their Light Surface Filler System
that is good until 10/31/01, the price is $24.00 for 2, 1 quart kits.
This is essentially the same type of product as Superfil according to Gary
Hunter (the Shell Answer Man for Epoxy Resins). In Gary's Forum at OSH he
mentioned these products as a lighter alternative to hand mixed micro. He
says these machine mixed micro filler products are significantly lighter
than we can mix at home.
I fondled a sample bar at the Aeropoxy Booth at OSH (very light) and felt
of a wet
lay-up that had been filled and sanded (much smoother and less porous than
my micro).
I have since tried this product and found it to be a great surface filler.
Seems to fill pin holes
very well when applied with a 4" wide spring steel squeege (available at
Auto Paint Suppliers),
sands easy too.
