I note that in the Lancair IV flight manual that the maximum take off weight
is 3200 lbs and maximum landing weight 3000 lbs.
Charlie Kohler's notes list maximum take off weight as 3400 lbs.
Does anyone have some background information on how the maximum weight has
been determined and what they have done with respect to their airplane.
Additionally, can anyone explain what "zero fuel weight" is and how it might
apply to the IVP?
