Fortunately I heard a Sears Oil Less Compressor before I bought a quiet 5 HP
oil type.  The Sears units are so noisy I don't think anyone should put up
with it.

I went a couple of rounds with Sears over a Compac Computer that Compac
could not repair.  The store manager's best offer was a 40% "use charge" for
the months of hassle I went thru trying to get it fixed.  Then I found the
magic words, "Satisfaction or Your Money Back" printed on the bottom of the
sales recipt.

Hold their feet to the fire, nobody should have to put up with that noise.

Check your Yellow Pages for a store that specializes in Air Compressors,
they will be close to the price of Costco or Sams and you have the local
service to back it up.
