<< Lancair Builders' Mail List >>

It is clear that it took a great deal of soul searching for Bill and Sue to decide and continue to move forward with the fly-in. I am glad they did, in the way they did. However, I have to also say that I respect and fully understand Larry's point of view. We all share the grief, anguish, and saddness our country and fellow citizens are going through right now, as expressed by Larry in his email. As of this writing, President Bush has declared tomorrow, Friday, as a national day of prayer. I hope you will all follow our President's lead in observing this day of prayer...
As far as the race is concerned, personally, I would STILL like to continue with the race. However, I will consult with Bill, Sue, the race officials, and race participants on Saturday and hope to get a general consensus...
For those of you going to the fly in, attached please find an MSWord document containing the Dogwood Airpark frequencies, coordinates, and other important information. {Word document removed for formatting <marv>]

There are dual roadways on the south side of the runway. Taxi on the one CLOSEST to the runway. There is inadequate wing clearance on the outboard lane which is used only for cars. The road on the north side of the runway is not a taxiway, it's for cars only.
After landing on 27, make a LEFT at the end of the runway and taxi on the parallel closestto the runway. Lancairs park at our hangar about midway down the runway, non-Lancairs taxi past our house and cross the runway at the next intersection for parking at the east end of the runway, north side.
