Craig,

Thanks for your mail. Since you're going to install an
AOA plus an SFS, will you have your AOA display on the
SFS ? Or will you go with a separate display ? If you
go with a separate display it would be very nice of
you to come back here once your plane is flying and
tell us how much difference of reading you see between
the two of them, with flap/withouth flap etc....

I wonder why the SFS's AOA does not take into account
density altitude, I'm sure it would not be too hard to
incorporate that feature in the software since it has
an OAT, and also the current altimeter setting.

I was in Redmond yesterday, and WOW so many lancairs
already !!!!!! I'm all excited and going there with my
digital camera today to look for inspiration on a nice
paint-scheme. I hope all who were planning to come
could make it.

And finally, a word of advice to those people that
haven't glued their wing fairings yet. I would first
make sure that you are fully satisfied with your
wings, at least as far as the rigging goes. I would
rig my flaps and have the flap actuator hold them up.
Duct-tape hoding your flaps up is just not the same
thing and probably the reason why you see so many
lancairs where the flaps and the fairings don't
exactly match. Build them good the first time !

Bye, regards, fili
