Marv,
No problem, I enjoyed this discussion as it made me
question myself, look through my books and learn.
[Stop fooling around with theory, guesstimates and
exotic calculations - get an AOA and use it.]
Scott Krueger, so what do you think of the AOA thingie
in the Sierra Flight System ? I haven't started using
it yet, but from what I know it is calculated and not
measured. I don't think it takes into account the
aircraft weight as it changes in flight, or from one
flight to the other. Or does it ? Does anyone out
there have Jim Frantz's AOA AND a Sierra Flight System
? (never know, with some people installing three SFS
screens, DVD players etc...). How much of an airspeed
change do you see when your airplane is heavily loaded
as opposed to when it is light for the same AOA ?
Regards, fili
