Scuff up the heads of the bolts. Make sure that you have counter sunk
the bolt heads far enough that they are just below the surface of the
carbon fiber skin. Then apply a flox/epoxy compound to the shank and
underside of the countersink of the bolt. Install the bolt as required.
Then apply the flox mixture to the top of the bolt head. Next, cover
with one bid of fiberglass, about 1 inch square, and press into place
over the bolt head, squeezing out excess flox and making contact to the
countersunk carbon fiber. Wet down the fiberglass with straight epoxy.
Once fiberglass is dry, the excess fiberglass around the outside of the
counter sink may be removed via sanding by hand or a light grinder.
Scuff up the fiberglass that is covering the bolt and apply a micro
mixture over the area for body filling.
