  Regarding the RMI encoder, I wish I'd known about the group discount, as I
already put one in my panel.
  An option to consider is their heading module that costs about $300.  With
it plugged into the encoder, you're able to tie into your GPS with a serial
output that provides you with winds aloft.  It uses the same data format as
the Shadin air data computers (just doesn't include fuel flow data), which
most GPS's are set up to accept, but it does it at a far lower cost.
