I Would like to share an experience on my last landing the week-end past. I 
arrive from two hr trip and joined the down wind  to land at my own town 
airport in Canada, At 120 kts I lower the gear and felt a normal operation 
of the train with the noise and drag. Then 100kts  I turned on final for 
the runway added some flaps and performed last check and confirmed I had 
three green <oops no green down and lock. I overshoot the approach and 
asked to and a/c on the ground who was taxing to confirmed my wheel were 
down. The person confirmed my wheel aft way down and holding that position.

So I left the circuit area to investigated what was wrong with the picture. 
I tried to recycle the gear but nothing was moving, so I concluded my last 
option was to dump the gear  as per lancair procedure and did that. Soon as 
I touch the dump valve I felt the handle had moved slightly and  just 
enough to let some pressure to go in the lower pressure line, so when  I 
activated the gear switch both pressure switch were to their limits and 
were deactivating the pump.

But after the gear were dumped  the circuit breaker  was push in and the 
valve close the landing gear was operating as normal.   I suspect the 
landing on the belly few weeks a go, might have something to do with that 
valve and for the three green the sun on it might give a false indication.

My 2 cents of advice, always confirm you have three green down and locked 
before touch down, not doing it might ruin your day.
