I was able to find vacuum cleaner type bags specifically designed for
shop-vac style machines (mine is about 6 gallons size). It does a pretty good
job of dust containment, but be careful, if you accidently suck up an AN bolt
of socket, it's hard to get out. Most of my power tools are lined up on one
bench, against a wall, along which I ran a 1 1/2" PVC line with 'T' fittings
every two feet. The shop vac tapered hose slides into the open tube at one
end of the bench. Suction holds it in place so it needs no clamping and is
quickly pulled out to vacuum another area.  Each of the 'T' fittings has a short
flexible suction hose that attaches to the appropriate opening on the band
saw, belt sander, etc.  Each short hose end has a slip-on PVC cap so that all
the suction in the system can be concentrated from one hose, if desired.  An
inexpensive bag of sump pump hose was more than enough for the project.
