I suggest you use only a double lap flair. A special tool is needed to make
this type end but it is well worth it. Aircraft Spruce sells it. I have
had not one leak or problem with my flairs to date.
I have had my A&P for thirty plus years, tho...
As for hardness of the lines, Lancair supplies tubing in the -0 condition or
fully annealed. It is possible to make a single lap flair on T-3 tubing but
it cracks easily. The soft tubing is fine for our 1200psi pressures. Do
not overtighten the B-nut!
