I was wondering if the two recent IV-P accidents were caused by two very
experienced and competent pilots worrying too much about saving the airplane
rather than themselves.
Could it have been that they had an engine failure (fuel starvation and ??)
and because of economic factors (no hull insurance??) tried too hard to make
it to the airport without power, ending up in stalled or high speed impact
with terrain??
