For all those builders considering putting the Lancair catalog
United Instruments 3001-J66 Cabin Altimeter in your
panel, get you order in EARLY with Lancair Avionics.
I finally received mine today, exactly 13 months 12 days
after placing my order !!!! (Thanks to Debi for all her efforts).
Other stock standard instruments such as the 2" engine instrument
and Airspeed, VSI, Altimeter and Turn Co-ordinator were
nothing under 6 months lead-time. You would think that the factory
would make an effort to keep these in stock. I guess they are too
busy with the Columbia project to bother with us Kit builders.
Sigmatek were no better, I ordered a vacuum AH and DI from
them directly, and these also took over a year to be delivered.
I recently read some LNN thread that the Dukes Pressure Controllers
are also on some insane lead-time.
So get your orders in now, you have been warned.
