I remember seeing somewhere, I think it was at the Sacramento fly-in that someone had a fuel cap engraving service. Berry Warner does an excellent job. I have his phone number (714) 838-8946, he's in Tustin CA. He also does reverse engraving on instrument panels and colors the engraving to your desire. It leaves a smooth surface with no likelihood of ever wearing aware. I think he has some new stuff that illuminates the writing as well.
