Last winter in Tucson, AZ, I met a pilot that had a very neat AC system in
his IV-P. I didn't get his business card, but he said it was done by
someone in Colorado. Anyone know who?
It was an electric compressor that resides in the baggage compartment but
does not take up very much room. There was a second pickup hole in the
tail fin. He said it provided excellent cooling for taxi in the very hot
110 degree Tucson summer heat.
I have heard conflicting reports on where builders are mounting the battery
in the IV-P. Any comments on this issue would be appreciated. I suppose
some builders wait until it's finished and then do the weight/balance and
then decide, but it would be easier to run the cables now instead of
waiting.
If anyone on the list knows please advise.
