        This is the last time I'm going to say this . The hardener gets it's
DARK COLOR from the steel and chrome parts in the Tank. Now it isn't from
moisture, light, aging or anything else, just a chemical reaction to the
metal parts in the Tank. Now the engineers at Jeffco can't really say what
happens to the  hardener for they haven't really tested it over time. So if
all you builders think your heard it was no problem well just think who you
got it from .  The only person that will know is the chemist after testing
it for several years. This answer won't come directly to us for time is also
a factor in the problem and I don't think I want to wait so I asked Michael
eng. to look at a  new valve. The engineers did agree that the properties
are not the same after the hardener  turns dark and they wanted to fix the
problem for I wasn't the only one to bring up the issue. All I have to say
is if I'm wrong then things will be ok but if I didn't bring this to the
attention of the engineers and their was a problem later with the hardener
then who do you look to for answers.  I'm the first to admit I'm not a
chemist but I did learn that if a chemical changed color it now has other
properties involved and or weakening of the original properties  [ how much
change is the question ] in the mix and this stuff isn't going in my plane
for I want the best , not some hear say without proof.            Bill Maddox
