The wingtip extensions do not carry fuel.  The Glasair II is the one with
fuel in the tips.  To fit them you have to strengthen the wing tip rib and
joggle so that the joggle is wider and 8 bid thick.  You also have to beef
up the main spar bolt attach points.  The tips, in my experience, actually
make no difference to the low level performance on my 320 with the large
tail.  They reduce the roll rate slightly and make landing a little easier.
 Stall speed is a few knots lower.  I have yet to do a high altitude long
range trip - which is why I spent the extra 500 hours building the
extensions.  When I have some data I will share it with other LML'ers.
