The elevator trim tab affects the landing, and climb/decent performance and I made the elevator trim tab15% larger to take care of the trim on landing problem with the heavier engine. It seems to me that the AOI affects the way the plane flies in cruise with the trim tab set at zero trim (so the elevator counterbalance weights are flush with the horizontal stabilizer). This would be the position of least drag in cruise. At 2.5 degrees AOI (between wings and horizontal stabilizer) and if the trim is set to zero deflection, does the plane fly without climbing or descending at normal cruise and at about center CG loading? ----- Original Message ----- From: J.
