           I seem to have put my foot in my mouth when I complained to
Michael engineering over two years ago about the dark color change of the
jaffco hardener in the hand pump. I was told 6 months ago that I was to
receive a proto type valve to place in the hardener side of the sticky pump
. I received the proto type valve three weeks ago and here are the results
.I put a light in the box and heated the area to around 85 to 90 degrees for
three weeks with new hardener straight from Lancair. I think now  Michael
eng. has the problem solved with the new valve . I also noted that the ratio
of the mix with the new valve is about the same . I have   .11 oz to .49 of
an oz./ pump - this equals approx. .23% to 1 by weight but the pump is set
by volume and the volume is correct for the style of pump I have according
to the engineers at Michael eng. . All of this is within the limits of the
product and all looks good with no color change to the hardener . Call the
company and request  the new style valve and they will  hopefully give a
time of delivery. The price is unknown at present as well .        Bill
