I flew my Lancair 360 from Charlotte, NC to Charleston, SC for an extended
weekend.  This was the first trip I have taken in the bird that lasted more
than an afternoon.  On Friday morning I took my father up for a joy ride-
aerial view of Kiawah Island, Charleston...  my girlfriend stayed at the
airport and relaxed on a park-bench in the sun.

My dad and I flew for about 45 minutes and then landed.  While taxiing in I
saw my girlfriend and a corporate pilot waving at us.  As I got closer I
realized the corporate pilot she was talking to was none other than... the
first test pilot for my bird.... Mike Dehate.

Mike was flying a Citation X and seemed to be doing well.  It was good to
see him, and quite a coincidence that we should meet there, given we were
each at the airport for only about 45 minutes.

And Mike, if you are reading this, I will try to remember to get the
prop-tach out of my truck and mail it ASAP.
