Thanks for your response. The reason behind my question stems from the need
to buy a couple of jacks to support the fuselage during the building phase.
But I also want them to be the right size for when the plane is built. You
are correct in that tire inflation would change the dimensions somewhat but
not a whole lot right?. I don't understand how the gear leg will have a
bearing on this. Aren't all the same size and installed just about in the
same place? Right now I have the landing gear installed so I can measure the
distance from the jack point to the bottom of the tire and that is about 23"
but I know that number is not a realistic one. I wonder how many inches will
the TK5s (I won't use the donuts) compress once the airplane is ready to
fly, or full of fuel. There is got to be an average number out there, don't
you think? Thanks.
