Then I flew home on the full tank and drained the fuel remaining in the "dry" tank. As I recall, I obtained about 3/4ths gallon of fuel from each tank by removing the drain plug. When the FAA found fuel in the lines, under pressure, to the spider, the plane did not run out of fuel.
