I believe you have shed alot of light early on in my project that will save me numerous hours of trouble later on. (and maybe a disaster or two!) I'm gonna try to summarize what we talked about to make sure I didn't miss anything and that it can all sink in. 1. Bias plies on spar to floor reinforcements? Ask Team Tango. (Kit Manufacturer) This probably would have allowed glass to lay correctly in the first layup instead of having a bad hair day. 2. Bias plies on the spar to fuselage? 3. Heat gun and scraper to remove fiberglass layers instead of grinding. (Sounds much better to me!) 4. Router cabinet shim to offset from spar to remove majority of "garbage" on the floor. Make up or buy 1/2 bit (cut down to 1/4 shaft for my router) with ball end. (Careful as it WILL reach the corners.) Heat off three layers underneath "tons" of filler. Get back to original fillet pictures with 40 grit hand sanding and then go with three layers of glass again, this time correctly oriented and no bubbles. (Still thinking vacuum bag to get rid of ALL bubbles, but bias may solve that. Will kick resin slow so I can decide based on how its going. 5. You mentioned a gentlemans name to look for in your archives section that had to do with composite engineering and that he had MANY informative posts. 6. Design of fuel system. Sounds like good material for a thread in Lancair group. You mentioned a gentleman that had a Soob and no header tank I believe. With two separate mains and two separate auxiliary tanks how do I couple pumps (are FACET low pressure pumps continuously rated?) inline or parallel? to parallel High pressure pumps and return fuel to correct tanks. 7. You mentioned a gentleman with a dual computer ignition for a Subaru. Tracy Crook? 8. Keep building it light. Watch out for weight in sealing auxiliary tanks and stainless steel AN line and fittings. Remove excess stuff you have now! 9. IVOprop safety tape continuity idea. 10. "Brake" for radiator fan circuit or bearings will be shot in no time. You had so much good information! I hope I remembered most of it. If I didn't please remind me. I should have taken notes. Will keep y'all updated with pics and info on my progress. Thanks, If we meet up at Oshkosh I owe you dinner for sure. I know you didn't have the time this time. Bart D.
