  Thanks to those who responded with offers to meet me in the San Diego area.
Time is always short, as is my leash.  However, I did have time to meet with
Pete Cavitt and talk Lancair with him.  Pete's a great guy with a really
nice 320-powered 235.  He even took me for a flight and an airtour of the
San Diego area.  Thanks Pete, and thanks again to the list and all those who
offered invitations.

ps- while throwing a football on the beach later on Saturday (about 2:30?) I
heard a plane, looked up, and saw a white LIV with winglets zooming down the
beach at about 1,000 AGL.  That NEVER happens where I live!
