I have a seep in the pump shaft seal of my emergengy gear down pump almost
from the time hydraulic fluid was introduced into the system. I wipe it
clean and wipe the floor as well about once a week. Has anyone else had a
similar problem? I can't imagine this will fly with an expensive interior
and carpet installed. I'm curious to know if I'm the only one out here with
this problem.

ps: The shaft and top of the pump were wrapped with aluminum tape to prevent
sanding dust from fouling the chevron wiper seal but I took it off when the
fluid started dripping from the bottom of the pump...
