Turbo 13B intended to produce over 400hp. We know it can taxi. The plan is for hover testing today.

Thanks for passing this along. VERY cool if it works. I can sure think of some nasty engine failure scenarios though...

According to the inventor, the wing loading of the “lifting” surfaces allows it to glide much like a Cessna in the event of an engine failure. It is pretty light.

The objective of the first hover testing is an altitude of 6”. Good plan.

I hope it's tethered to prevent rotation as well as height. I wonder if they think they are the first folks to try to counter torque with vanes in the flow from the rotor....
