It sure looks to me like the airflow around the
outside of your triangle would produce a pumping effect in extracting or aiding
airflow out of the triangle.

Thinking about it, in my setup the air has a pretty
easy path in, through the rad and out again. In Steves the air has to do a right
angle, then (I think) get out around the engine and through the top of the cowl.
