Actually, Dave, I believe I found a source for the components for my
connector (have ordered a sample of them) and now I ONLY need to get my wife
to crimp the terminals and pins on the end.  The cost for a connector
looks to be  below $10 range and you can then make the leads as long as you
need and use any wire coding scheme you want.

The harness I ordered fit the plugs fine, but would constrain my placement
of the coils.  Yes, I could have clipped the plugs off and then butt spliced
them to wire, but the covering of the wire in the harness did not appear to
have the qualities of aircraft TEFLE? coated wiring.  So I decided to wire
up my own.
