I am far too embarrassed to taxi around the airport anymore. So I have sent off the turbo to be re-built, hope that fixes = it. Taking off the turbo seemed to confirm the problem as the manifold = before the turbo is white/dry while the exhaust pipe has drops of engine oil. =20 Hi Dave, =20 Well, at least it's nice to start with a fresh rebuilt. Have them port = the wastegate as large as possible while it's there, and maybe do something = else to reduce the boost at low rpms. This is a prime opportunity to try to = head off some of the boost problems you're going to have. =20 As for your oil, make sure the drain line from the turbo has NO = pressure. The inlet side has a restriction built in, and the normal outlet pipe is = a large diameter, with gravity assist to the sump. You aren't supposed to = let this tube go uphill, or restrict it in any way, or you'll push oil out = past the bearings.
