The block that provided most of the parts for the engine I'll be installing is an '87 TurboII... if memory serves those have 8.5:1 compression rotors.

I wasn't convinced that going to 3mm apex seals was the right thing to do given my installation criteria, so I chose to go with Dave Atkins' 2-pc standard 2.5mm seals in lieu of the 3-pc stock Mazda units.

This is all getting really exciting for me, as I'm actually getting closer to putting the engine back together.  I've ordered new rotor housings from Dave along with his very neat cast wrap-over intake manifold and throttle body, and I'm expecting to see the parts later this week, early next week.  I'll send along some photos of the rest of the parts, including the ceramic coated rotors, and moly-coated side housings and gears.  I had the side and intermediate housings ported & polished before sending everything off for the coatings, and when they returned I found that the intakes had also been given the ceramic treatment... should be interesting.
