Jeff: I placed my oil temp sender in an aluminum block that mounts on the car’s oil pad attached to point, since that will record the final oil temp as it enters the engine…

I may have wrongly assumed that temps might drop once I cowl it up, since airflow would be concentrated and dedicated to push thru the water and oil rads…. Since this is my first experience, it will be interesting down the road to see how it okays out!  😎.

Hi Doug, with your oil temp so low, I wonder where your oil temp probe is located. Should be after the oil cooler where there is hi-flow.
Ground runs don't tell the whole story and cold oil isn't really any issue unless you use thick oil ... using full synthetic like Mobil-1 15W50 is best.
