Good point, Rusty, glad you caught that.  No - the core should be at the end of the bell curve.  The rectangular shape after that was just something for me to hold on to as I handled the curves and keeping my mitts out of the way of the coordinates. 
 
Thanks Ed.  I'll try not to violate your cooling thoughts any more than necessary. 
 
BTW, we can forget any EDDIE principle for the intake.  About my only option is going to be to run two separate 1.75" tubes from each throat of the TWM TB, to the bottom of the right side rad duct.  I guess that makes each runner about 45-50" long.
