Charlie : Yes you are right on the rtv sealant.There might be a bit of
"spitback" that will dissolve the rtv over time.
Better to use tank sealant for the flange before bolting.The flanges
is tailormade as i did build the one on another
Can also use fuel resistant "rubber sheeting" as the bolt holes also
help to hold them in place
