You would run into a number of problems. So if you have a large machine shop and lots of money, I say piece of cake. You would need a special design front and rear irons. And the cheap way would be a Pport engine.

Just turn the rotor housing and center iron 180 degrees. The bolt holes will then not line up. And the legs
will not line up. So, the front and rear irons would be simple. Big Lathe and Vertical mill. A special mounting rail on the pan. External oil pump. A crank trigger ignition. A fun project, but to what end?  There no dumb questions.

The only change you need for "Pusher" configuration is a reversed pitch of
the prop.
You have to buy a prop anyway, right?

Twin engine aircraft have engines that run in a counter rotating pairing.
One clockwise and the other counter clockwise.

Proof enough that the rotation direction is not a factor.

Rob : Yes, the engine can be used in mirror image but that is for a
"pusher" configuration. You can't turn the motor for using it in the
"tractor" config.
The 'pusher' config is the same direction as mounted in a car
(automobile). Generally used with aircraft types like the Cozy etc.
that needs a "pusher engine " setup.
