Neil,
The engine is still in pieces and the exhaust is not decided............I may turbo-normalize
which may do away with the need for a muffled exhaust system.......The alum center and
rear housings are an expensive 29 lb weight reduction (prop end of the engine)..........<:)

Had I used the alum front side hsg another 10.5 lbs would be lost.........Attached is link
to "Racing Beat"............

Kelly,  That is certainly a hybid!!  Does it all get along without fighting?  For interest do you know what weight saving the alloy plates made?  What exhaust system have you gotten to? Neil.

Neil,
Forgot to mention that the Renesis Eccentric shaft can be used in the 13B.......It is slightly
lighter and is much less expensive than the RX7 shaft new........I have a Renesis shaft  for my
"Hybrid" 1993 13BREW........("P" port rotor hsgs,9.7 to 1 rotors,  "Racing Beat" alum center and
rear side hsgs, 13BREW iron front side hsg, "Mistral" alum front hsg with waterpump, alternator
and ears for standard "Lycoming" "Dynafocal" engine mounts........Retained the 13BREW iron
front hsg because the "Mistral" bolts to it with several "6 MM" bolts and I was not fond of the
entire engine weight hanging from these bolts threaded into alum...........

Neil,
12A shafts are shorter will only fit the early "12A" engine not the "13B" and the Renesis "RX8" engines.......The
"12A" engine rotors and rotor housings are narrower and these engines have less combustion displacement (cubic inches).......

There is on offer a few eccentric shafts for sale and the add says     12A eccentric shafts -- suits R100,  RX2 to RX7.  Can anyone tell me if these shafts will fit the later RX7 or not?  IF so what is the difference to the RX8?

Neil.
