Dave, You are alive after all! Yep great record and just needs
another prop to better the record and possibly a few other
things, but not having been there it is unfair to comment. I
think I insulted PL when I suggested it was worth only about
$50,000 to buy back. $30,000 for the engine and $20,000 for the
rest. The motec ECU was a very expensive error in hindsight. I
cannot understand where the $500,000 went to, to the effect that
they now cannot afford to find $5000 for another prop. If the
figures are correct some one did very well out of the exercise.
Then I wasn't there as I said. I was told that PL did all his work
for nothing, as not being paid, so he is to be congratulated for
that. The pilot seemed to be VERY conservative. Better stop
before I get into trouble. Neil.
