    The reason I ask, is that I've been using a "normal" TC-3 type oil
    in the plane. I've had a problem getting it to mix well, and it
    sometimes wants to just sit in the low part of the tank. I'm sure
    I can shake, slosh, etc the plane around enough to get it to mix,
    but I'd rather find something that is thinner, and will stay in
    solution better. It just seems like MMO would satisfy that
    requirement.

Rusty, Paul Lamar conducted a oil burning test to see how much “sludge” is left after burning out.
Turned out 2 cycle oil was the best MMO was not that good for this application.
