    Greetings,

Is anyone still using MMO for their fuel additive? I think Tracy
used it for a while, but I'm not sure if he still does. Is there a
consensus of whether this stuff will do the job for us? I add an
extra 4 oz of it to the RX-7 tank at every fill, but that doesn't
    prove much.

The reason I ask, is that I've been using a "normal" TC-3 type oil
in the plane. I've had a problem getting it to mix well, and it
sometimes wants to just sit in the low part of the tank. I'm sure
I can shake, slosh, etc the plane around enough to get it to mix,
but I'd rather find something that is thinner, and will stay in
solution better. It just seems like MMO would satisfy that
    requirement.

    Thanks,
    Rusty

Rusty, Paul Lamar conducted a oil burning test to see how much “sludge” is left after burning out.
Turned out 2 cycle oil was the best MMO was not that good for this application.

His test was 'interesting', but if Tracy, Ed, & probably others are getting unburned 2stroke oil scavenged from the combustion chamber into their crankcases, I gotta ask if his test has any significance in this application.

What do you guys that are flying think?
