I just had a brain wave!!
The one common mechanism connected to ground running - the retractable gear.
I need a small exchanger fed from the heater circuit and connected to the front or main gear legs!
When on the ground it sticks down into the breeze providing cooling and a good airbrake, but tucks away for no drag and little cooling in flight.

I’m only half joking!!
