Hi Charlie;
Sorry for the delayed reply, I'm just getting to this now. I was busy in the house this morning and when I looked outside just afternoon I saw some woman trying to steal my truck! I ran outside and caught her, but not before she'd broken my ignition. She's in jail now.
I was in a way disappointed that she seemed oblivious to the fact my truck was parked right beside an airplane. Like she didn't even notice it. The cops that showed up, were quite interested though. One even stayed behind and had me pull the cowling cause he was so interested. Strange that she was out here as it's a bit isolated.At least she didn't mess with the uninsured airplane!
So anyways, back to the fuel valves....
Wow, they must be gold-plated! Thanks for finding them, but it is much larger than I'd like to use. I do like the idea of a cable operated valve, but it would have to be spring return which I could see no mention of that. And that would require yet another firewall penetration for the cable. And then the fact that they cost the same as it cost me to rebuild my engine!
I am somewhat encouraged by the fact that a few others (in the certified world) have installed a fuel purge to deal with heat soak as well so it's obviously not an isolated problem. And I should point out again that I may not really have had much of a problem to begin with. I only saw that issue once, an hour after some hard ground runs. And on a hot day up here in the north!
Anyways the system is installed and seems to work well. I installed the mom-on push-button alongside the injector disable switches as I consider them as something else that I'll probably never need to use, but I wouldn't not put them in.
Todd
I caught a couple of copper thieves this spring so I'm thinking maybe Todd P.I. ???
Doesn't sound as good as Magnum P.I. does it :-)
