I just searched for an '88 RX-7 flexplate; got dozens of hits. I'd advise calling your shop of choice directly, & getting the guy to carefully inspect the one he has for sale prior to shipping. Explain that you've seen them cracked before, and that the cracks can sometimes be hard to see. The guy I bought from was very accommodating. Tell him what to look for: where cracks are likely to be. Flexplate cracking isn't an a/c-only issue; I've got one here that's cracked and has never been on a plane.
