Richard,

I guess I misspoke.  I have both the adapter to hook a separate oil source and I have an adapter wheel that goes on to replace the adjustor position sensor. My assumption was that I can remove the position sensor and the motor. (Removing the motor just cuts down on weight)

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
the OMP adapter does not change anything on the oil metering function. It only blocks the engine oil from reaching the pump and provides a hook up for two stroke oil.
However there is an Adjuster available to replace the motor, which will give you a fixed setting, so the amount of oil being fed into the engine depends on engine RPM only. Which in my opinion is sufficient for aviation use.
The Adjuster is also available through RWS.

Richard

I'm bummed I missed the roundup - probably could have learned a lot and gotten a lot of questions answered.

As I look at the original I take for modification I'm left contemplating the "jet air" mixers and what they would provide for my engine if anything. Potentially I could see them help with mixing. Thoughts?

I have Sohn's adapter for my OMP and I'm 99% I understand that I can remove both the indexer and the motor.

Mark
