It's been known to work with traditional a/c engines. There are stories a/c using flow through the primer ports to keep the engine running.

Implemented, but not tested.  Testing needs some way to keep the engine running while opening the needle valve.  I could have slowly added in "emergency fuel" and my Megasquirt setup would have slowly cut the injectors to meet the mixture targets;  but, I ran out of time.

That’s a pretty good idea Ernest …
Did you actually get this working on your 13B before it got sold?

Then plumb a line down to your throttle body with an accessible manually controlled needle valve.  You'd probably never be able to start the engine on that, but if the electrical system goes south, it would keep fuel flowing and let the battery run longer.

BTW, except for the few diesels flying, all airplane engines are electrical dependent.  Magnetos just happen to have their own generator buried inside.
