I had satisfied myself that the Renesis with the turbo installat= ion was reliable and plan to install it in my RV6A. Before removing the NA= 13B, I have been trying to address several concerns. =20 First is to achieve an excess of cooling capacity in the present installati= on in anticipation of the added cooling requirement expected with the turbo= Renesis. This is still ongoing. The second concern is the input shaft of the RD1A. Even though I plan to j= ust turbo normalize, I would like to change the rosette weld to the pin of = the later RD's. Third, the flex plate should probably be eliminated and replaced with a fly= wheel, also eliminating the damper plate with its aluminum rivets. Appare= ntly this is also a feature of the later RD's. Finally, the turbo exhaust has a three inch diameter outlet which immediate= ly transitions to a two inch tailpipe. This transition appears to result i= n significant back pressure at the turbine outlet. A three inch diameter e= xhaust system from the turbine outlet onward will be installed and tested. Things always take longer than expected.
