Look at my single rotor AVID intakes. Have no cooling issues at any speed up to 100mph. Even at ground work at 90F OAT have never seen a problem.
I am certainly blaming the ducting for it.

On the EAA hot line for today there is a video of a 20 foot landing in Valdez on you-tube, then a video on the 2015 Friedrichshafen air show, two rotaries were pictured, but the interesting thing to me where the cowl inlet shapes and the size of holes which some appeared really small and one aircraft had several outlets on the lower side of cowl that looked like some you see on sharks, take a look, it is interesting, by Hans Joachim,  JohnD
