The clearance issue for me is part of the engine mount that I built before I decided to use a turbo. I use the stock automotive Turbo heat shields and they do a good job. I the cowl still got a little too hot after shut down so I added some aluminum foil glued to the underside of the top cowl above the turbo and it works well. I did the same where the exhaust pipe comes near the cowl on exit.
My turbo rebuild is from BNR. The turbine is a "P-trim". I did the stage 4 upgrade for gen 2 turbos except I had Bryan put in the TO4-E 50 instead of the 60/1. He can put in any compressor wheel you want.
picture attached, I dont use that exhaust wrap anymore, it just falls apart and or burns off. Also makes the exhaust pipe oxidize faster.
