Here is a video in which you can hear my fixed pitch rotary making power changes over the din of the mostly C/S pistons.  

BTW, we calculate that the flight had over 9,300 horse power with 196 pistons and 2 rotors.  :-)

This last weekend I got to fly in at 49 ship record breaking formation flight as part of the opening of the Raider VS. Chiefs game in KC.  There are several videos on youtube.  In many of them you can hear the rotary.  Here is one example.

We later went to the game and set another world record for the loudest outdoor stadium.
