Starting fluid RULES!!  Like many other things in life, it's a good practice, and a bad habit.  It's GREAT for clearing floods and starting stuff with marginal compression.  Meet it half way by making sure you've got ignition.  I would be inclined to give it a little shot prior to "normal" start, and if that doesn't work, turn off fuel pump until you've got it started with ether and then turn on the pump to take over, but that depends on the situation.

Don't use too much .... you don't have to ....  Jim S.

A little help on starting???

After my first Brrrapppp I dont seem to be able to get anything at all.
The plugs all fire nicely when out, and I have plenty of fuel pressure.
After cranking the plugs are wet.

Starting fluid?
Any other ideas?
