Actually the real problem is that it's somewhat hard to get to: it's under the transponder which is under the fuel tank. Anyway, plunking down $17 for a new battery seems way extravagant  - I think I'll try charging it first :)

Finn, FWIW...It has helped my starting, with low voltage, to pull the prop through a couple of turns before hitting the start button.
