hmmm,
I was going to type an email with wanted 13b rotor housings, and a link to
this file in case it was any use to anybody. I never completed the email...got
distracted or something.
Appearantly windows shut down and sent the incomplete email or
something like that....strange.
Charlie told me about it on the phone, and I was like....what?? I didn't
post anything to the rotary list!!!
In the meantime, I found the parts I was after and have just started to
look at this engine file.
I noticed right away that the front stationary gear bolt pattern does not
match the bolt pattern in the front housing. Now everything is suspect.
Crap! Now I've got to check everything. It might just be less trouble to
make my own from zero than chase all the errors in this one.
Oh well, I've been meaning to get a probe for my mill.
sigh.
If we all had a nice database to work from, it would certainly facilitate
innovation and small production runs of parts. The patents on this stuff have
long gone away. I hope the same thing that happend to the Harley V-twin and VW
motors will happen to the rotary. You can buy completely new engines made from
aftermarket parts for each of these engines.

Its a nice novelty if your are using it for general pictures and layouts.
There are a lot of irregularities in detail from the actual engine so it is
not of much use for any precision or fab work.
